Social Care Network Solutions is a social enterprise and follows the principles of sociocracy which means that all stakeholders - staff, customers and suppliers - engage in the process of the development of CHARMS.
As a non profit organisation, all funds are put back into the development of CHARMS, and licence fees are kept as low as possible.
More than 60 LAs and over 300 independent agencies use CHARMS across one or more services. Agencies benefit from the extensive, and growing, range of features offered by CHARMS, including the CHARMS digitised Keeping in Touch/Letterbox Exchange management system.
The range of services using CHARMS include: adoption, adoption support, fostering, children's residential, supported accommodation, residential family centres, care leavers, adult residential, supported employment, shared lives, refugee support organisations, therapy and counselling services, and more.
CHARMS is a communication tool that ensures that social workers, business support staff, managers, foster carers, adopters, care workers, young people/adults in care, and their family members can record and access records in a completely secure setting.
