Community Care

We look forward to joining you at NCASC Bournemouth this year and meeting you during the event – stop by and visit the Community Care senior team on stand B8. Community Care has been supporting social workers and social work leaders for 50 years. Our aim is to help the sector stay up-to-date with the latest and most significant developments in practice, law and policy to help practitioners and leaders change lives for the better and flourish in their careers. We support social work employers to recruit and retain high-quality practitioners and develop their staff to the best of their abilities.

Communitycare.co.uk Our main website provides practitioners and leaders with critical news and information. The social work community can visit at any time for the most up-to-date news, and also sign up to our e-newsletters to have the latest information mailed direct to their inbox. The site is home to our latest campaign #ChooseSocialWork which aims to champion the profession as a career to support recruitment and retention in the sector. Please come and speak to us at our stand about how you can be involved in the campaign.

Community Care Inform Our online subscription-based service delivers expert-produced tools and practice guidance in a quick that helps social work professionals make and evidence their decisions. Our content is produced in a range of different formats to suit different learning styles. We partner with authorities on their learning and development strategies to support a legally literate, confident workforce.

Community Care Jobs Our recruitment site helps support employers to recruit the right staff and practitioners to find the right opportunities through our Employer Zone and Employer Profile content and our recruitment site. We work in partnership with local authorities on their recruitment strategies to grow their permanent teams through consultation and expert written content that promotes their council as an employer of choice. We work with councils on their retention strategies through our retention tool supported by the University of East Anglia.

Community Care Events Community Care Live has been offering two days of free essential content, practice, learning and networking for all registered social workers in the UK for over 26 years. The event provides over 35 workshops, live performances and masterclasses delivered by around 80 speakers covering children, adults, workforce and legal. The event is supported by a large exhibition of over 45 local authorities and organisations from across the sector. We also host a number of conferences and virtual learning events running throughout the year.

Please come and speak to find out how we are supporting councils on their recruitment, retention and learning and development strategies as well as how you can get behind our #ChooseSocialWork campaign. We would also love to hear your thoughts on our new site The Social Work Community that offers guidance and peer support for social workers throughout their career.

Look forward to seeing you there!
