bMindful is a specialist psychology service with particular expertise supporting children and young people who have experienced developmental trauma. With an emphasis on training and consultation to build knowledge and confidence in the team around the child, our tailored programme of delivery is designed to enhance, support and develop the emotional and psychological wellbeing of the child.
The bMindful team incorporates clinical, forensic and educational psychologists, psychotherapists, creative psychotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists. All have worked in child mental health and specifically in the looked after children’s sector for large parts of their careers. We offer a comprehensive range of services that cater to the needs of the child and the team around the child, including:
Our range of services are aimed to be flexible to allow the team to offer a bespoke service attuned to the needs of the children, intervention strategies, as well as scope for ad hoc queries, for example post-incidents or if a serious concern arises.
We work with local authorities, schools, independent residential care providers, fostering families and directly with young people and their parents/carers to support the development of trauma informed therapeutic environments which aids the recovery of children and young people and builds the foundation to provide them with the opportunity to thrive.
